April Plus-sized Fashion Wishlist!

Hey-ho Tweedly-peeps,

Today I thought I'd share with you 3 of the fashion pieces I've been lusting over this month. So, basically I've been window shopping with spring starting to finally appear I've been checking out what the world of plus-size fashion has to offer a girl like me.
I have to admit what I can wear and what I'd want to wear vastly differ, If I could I would spend 90% of my time wearing pretty dresses and midi skirts but thanks to my gross leg and huge thighs its difficult to find anything that fits so I spend most of my life in leggings and tees not exactly sexy tbh.
So I have to make do with simply dreaming of the day I can find a pair if tights to fit my "thunder-thighs" or a way of disguising my bandage so it doesn't look so obvious, so here are my picks for spring...
Cartoon print dress £30 from
OK, so I've picked this particular dress as I love the print and I'm also a huge fan of skater dresses I think they are really flattering for any size as it can hide so much. The print I think is super fun and funky and adds some quirkiness. I think this dress would look great dressed up with tights and a pair of studded flats or a pair of cute heels (if you can manage in heels, unlike me) and maybe a cute little jacket or blazer if your conscious of your arms, like me. I'd also wear this with tights and some converse or boots for a dress down look and maybe throw on a slouchy cardigan for a casual day look.

Aztec print midi skirt £40 from
I Love Aztec print stuff and this skirt is super cute I'd happily wear this piece day or night with a plain black or white tee tucked in with tights and some pumps during the day and then dress it up with some heels or flats for an evening look. I'm pretty laid back when it comes to night time looks as I generally think comfort first.

ASOS CURVE Bodycon Dress In Aztec Print £25
So we may have noticed a theme here, yes I love bold prints and I love this one the black pattern on tie-dye reminds me of being young and has an 80's retro vibe to it. I realise if i did wear this it would expose a multitude of sins not even pull-in pants would be able to hide, but I love it anyway. I would wear this as it is with a pair of high-tops and still feel awesome in it because it is just so pretty.

There you have it then my plus-sized wishlist for the month I hope you enjoyed this little post and maybe it has given you some outfit ideas whether your plus-sized or not.

Til next time my sweets

Collection Big Fake Mascara Review

Hey-ho my little tweedly peeps, (yes that's my new name for you all)

This post is going to be a review of the Collection Big Fake mascara. This mascara comes with a huge wand that catches hold of your lashes and holds on to them coating them in product giving that false lash effect. I'm really impressed with the results from this product. It really does deliver what it's meant to. I have the waterproof variety of this mascara and I would say it does last all day on my lashes I have found that it can transfer to my lids after a while but I do have rather oily lids even if I use a primer before I apply my eye make-up.

Collection Big Fake Mascara packaging and wand

For me, as a glasses wearer, this gives my lashes that extra volume that you would get with false lashes but with out having to worry about catching them on my glasses.
The packaging for this is basic black and red, the writing stands out on this and I do like its torpedo like shape. There's really not much to say about the packaging as it is very simple but efficient. This is available from boots for about £4.99.
I definitely would buy this mascara again as it is my go to mascara and is really quite cheap for a drugstore mascara and I have recommended it to my friends.

Score: 4/5

17 miracle matte foundation review

Hi Guys.
So this post is going to be a review of the 17 miracle matte foundation available from Boots, which I think came out some time last year. I finally got my hands on this a couple of weeks ago and I have to say its becoming a strong favorite of mine.

Colour Match: Soft Ivory.
I have normal to combination skin and using this product I've found it to be a delight. Its not cakey and I've found easy to blend out and the colour match is really good (and I usually struggle on account of me being so pale). Its a good medium coverage and lasts on my skin all day.
I would say though if you have dry skin it might not be good for you, unless you use a good moisturizer or primer first. Its a thick creamy consistency and has no fragrance to it. I generally apply it with a brush but you could just as easily apply it with fingers. I find it goes on really nicely and evens out my skin and does a good job of hiding most of my scars and red spots as I have a few generally from spots and things. It feels light on my skin and coming into spring summer I like the fact it has a SPF of 15 as well.
The packaging is pretty basic, the bottle is plastic not glass which means its lighter than some and is probably safe to travel with. It has a hot pink lid and pump which I really like so you don't have to worry about accidentally spilling it either, (good if your a cults like me).
All in all I'm really impressed with this foundation and as I said its a firm favorite of mine at the moment and is definitely my go to foundation.
